Brad Earrings... So Crafty.

Hello there. Today I want to share with you 2 set of earrings I made out of Stampin' Up's designer builder brads. Sorry for those of you that were expecting and hoping for a new card... but not really because these earrings turned out awesome and I'm proud of them haha.

This idea stemmed from an experience my upline and I had at the 2012 Stampin' Up! convention. While standing in line the first morning, a fellow demonstrator had a bracelet on made out of our vintage faceted designer buttons. We were blown away by how cool of an idea it was! The bracelet was absolutely beautiful and it was a new and interesting way to use a Stampin' Up! product. We decided right then that next year (this year) we had to do something that would make other demonstrators go, "WOW!" I guess these earrings are my attempt at that. I made 2 pairs (one for me and one for my upline) for the Riverton Regional.

For these earrings all I did was pull the brad part off of the designer builder brads. The back part came off really easily and it didn't look bad so I left the back untouched. Then I punched out a piece of designer series paper using the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. I used the multipurpose liquid glue to glue the piece of paper to the brad and then adhered the epoxy bubble that the brads came with on top of the paper. I attached the brad to a hook earring and I was done! That may sound complicated but really it was easy and I was super happy with the results. Wanna see the earrings? Boom.

For my pair I used the green paper with white polka dots from the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP and for Jennifer's pair I used the yellow chevron from the same DSP pack.

The Designer Builder Brads are retiring on May 31 so if you want to be crafty and make a pair of earrings like these let me know soon so you don't miss them. You get 16 brads in each pack; for the math challenged, that's 8 pairs of earrings that are completely customizable for only $6.95. So awesome!

Hopefully someone will be impressed with my craftiness in making these earrings. ;) Contact me if you'd like to get some of these brads to make earrings so you can impress someone with your craftiness too!

New Photopolymer Stamp Sets

Good News! Stampin' Up! has2 new photopolymer stamp sets out, Show and Tell 1 and Show and Tell 2 (creative names, eh? haha). I've already told you all about the awesome benefits of photopolymer stamps but in case you'd like to refresh your mind just click HERE. The most obvious benefit of photopolymer stamps is that they're completely clear! You can see exactly where you're going to stamp. It's pretty nice. :)

In addition to these new stamp sets, Stampin' Up! announced they're offering an online class. Seeing the Possibilities Online class includes written instructions, photos, instructional videos and supply lists for 15 projects. It covers: backgrounds, building, layering, versatility, gift giving and memory keeping. If you need some help starting out on your crafting adventures, these online classes are perfect for you. You get everything for the online class for only $14.95, that's pretty dang cheap for all the information you're getting.

However, most of you are crafters and stampers so.. back to the stamps :) Each stamp set is $13.95. The Show and Tell 1 stamp set has 24 stamps included and the Show and Tell 2 set has 40 stamps included. You didn't read that wrong, only $13.95 each. One of the many benefits of photopolymer stamp sets is that you pay less and get way more.

EVEN BETTER! Get both together for cheaper! If you order the stamp sets and the online class you'll only pay $35.95. That's a 15% discount. So worth it!

Anyway, to view the new stamp sets and get more information, visit THIS page. And then contact me if you'd like to order.

Have a fantastic day!
