Love love love

Hi there!

I'm sorry I've been MIA for the last little bit. I've been finishing up my semester in school and finals week was brutal! But here I am, I survived AND I have a new card to show you wonderful people. ;)

I made this card for a craft retreat I attended in Billings, Montana. 8 women plus crafting (and a little wine, okay... a lot of wine) equals so much fun! I had a blast and I can't wait to see those lovely ladies again!

Here's my card:

Stamp Sets: Gorgeous Grunge
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Baked Brown Sugar, Night of Navy
Ink: Crumb Cake
Accessories: Naturals Designer Buttons, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Expressions Thinlits Dies

What do you think? In designing this card I was trying to go for a more vintage, antique look. (Don't laugh if you don't think it fits that haha) Usually, I create with very straight lines and clean and simple overall looks, I was trying to get outside my norm and push myself. If you've never done this, I recommend trying it, it's fun! I'm really happy with how it turned out, I hope you like it!

If you want to buy any of the products used to make this card or if you have any other craft stuff you'd like to purchase, you can visit my online store 24/7 HERE.

Also, don't forget about my Fill A Frame 2014 class. There's still time to register! For more information go check out THIS page.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season!

Core'dinations Love

Hello all,

I hope you all have fun plans for Thanksgiving. I'll be hanging out with family and then hitting the black Friday shopping with my boyfriends mom. I'm sure it'll be fun. Do you have any fun plans?

The card I'm sharing today is based around our Core'dinations Cardstock. If you've never used this cardstock from Stampin' Up! you're missing out. It's this great card stock that is thick and sandable, one side is textured the other side is smooth and the inside layer is a monochromatic color. You can reveal the inside color by sanding, tearing or distressing. It's so much fun to play with and completely adds a different look to projects. We sell packs of the core'dinations cardstock based on our color families. I first got the neutrals packs because neutrals go with everything, but I bought more quickly. It's so cool!

Stamp Sets: Hello, Lovely
Card Stock: Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Smoky Slate Core'dinations
Ink: Smoky Slate
Accessories: Alphabet Press embossing folder,7/16" Trim, Paper Piercing Tool and Essentials pack, Decorative Label punch, Stampin' Sanding system

See how the background is distressed? Yeah that's it. Haha! I used the alphabet press embossing folder on the smoky slate core'dinations cardstock and then used our stampin' sanding block on the paper. Don't you think it adds a cool effect?

Have a wonderful week and a fantastic thanksgiving!

I freakin' love you!

Hello!

I'm so glad to finally be able to take some time and share a new card with you all! With my crazy school schedule I've been rush crafting a lot lately which unfortunately doesn't leave me a lot of time to blog. However, I HAVE been able to keep my Instagram updated with almost every new project and card I've made. So if you're unhappy with the frequency of my blog updates during school time (which I'm truly sorry for) then follow me on Instagram to get plenty of cool crafts almost daily! My username is SwishandStamp. There's a link in the right column of my blog too! :)

Moving on to an awesome card! I made this card for my boyfriend, Kaleb. We were celebrating one year of being together. He's so extremely supportive of my crazy addiction to stamping and crafting and I'm so grateful for that. Anyway, I wanted to make him a card that was sort of fun and silly and it had to have penguins (they're his favorite animal haha). I decided to make a slider card! These cards are so cool! The penguin on the front spins around back and forth across the card, I plan to make an instructional YouTube video on these cards soon so check back and I'll keep you updated. ;)

Stamp Sets: Yippee-Skippee!
Card Stock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Staz On Black, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Owl Builder punch, Word Window punch

I tried to get a few good pictures so you can see that he spins! I'm seriously in love with this little penguin and the card turned out way better than I thought it was going to.

If you want to purchase any of the supplies used to make this card or anything else from Stampin' Up! you can shop 24/7 in my online store, HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey Fancy Feathers!

Hi everybody! It's time to share a new card!

Unless you've been in a cave for the last 2 years (which if you have been, Welcome Back!) you know that birds are a huge trend right now. Seriously, if people don't like something now-a-days, they put a bird on it and it's fantastic! Owls, Crows, Bluebirds, Eagles, Penguins and of course Peacocks! When I first saw the Peacock stamp in the stamp set "World Treasures", I thought, "Holy Peacock!" It's quite large and intricate and I immediately needed it. People have done some really over-the-top things with this peacock. They've colored all the individual parts, cut out each feather and inked up the bird dramatically in different ways; if you are one of these people, power to you! I, however, wanted to use this stamp for Saturday Stampin'. When making 8 cards for only 10 dollars with limited time, the cards need to be simplified... this peacock doesn't really lend herself to being simplified. But I think I pulled it off okay ;) Let's look at the card:

Stamp Sets: World Treasures, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: 1" Circle Punch, Circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Come on, you're a little impressed, right? ;) Just kidding. So instead of making the stamp itself intricately inked and all sorts of colors, I decided to add this element in the different colored paper strips. There are 4 different colors of paper in this "tail"; Elegant Eggplant, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry. I used a circle punch to create the little tail wing things (I don't know what you'd call them haha). I also used a circle punch to create the corners on the piece of Very Vanilla with the peacock on it, I wanted it to have a little something extra instead of just piece a rectangular piece. Overall I'm really happy with this card. I think it matches the uniqueness of the peacock stamps. Thanks for stopping by!

September 'Best Of'

I'm here to show you guys the September 'Best Of'. Honestly, Fall is my favorite time of year, I always long for the cool, crisp weather and the beautiful colors. Oh and the PUMPKIN PATCH! Yay! I love sweaters, boots and hot chocolate, so Fall is perfect. I'm telling you all of this because this month's best of stamp set is the Best Of Autumn. The bucket of apples stamp set is adorable and I love the fall tree and the "Give Thanks" sentiment. Maybe that's another reason I love fall; people always seem to be more thankful for the good in their life around this time of year. I'm sure it has something to do with Thanksgiving coming up but I love all the happiness. Anyway! Let's take a look at the stamp set:

Such nice images this month. I love fall themed cards too so these are perfect. If you'd like to purchase this stamp set you can either contact me directly or you can shop 24/7 in my online shop, HERE! If you'd like to read more about this stamp set, you can check out THIS beautiful flyer! Thanks for reading!

Hello Lovely, it's time for school!

Hi there!

Whoo before I get in to today's project, I'd like to tell you a little bit about my life. In the next few months, there's a good chance I'll not be able to do blog updates as frequently. I know, I know, hold your tears in. You see... I'm only a 21-year-old college student and if you have children or know anyone with children or if you live in a place with children (which everyone does), YOU know school is starting. I am among these hundreds of  thousands of back-pack-hauling students to return to my school. Now, You might be interested in this, so let's take a look at my life, because I'm SOO interesting. Lol, Not!

Here it goes: I live in Boise, Idaho. I was born and raised here. I'm in my 4th year at Boise State University. Yes, we have a blue turf. And, Yes, It's called the smurf turf. Haha. I'm an English Education major with a minor in Mathematics. Most people laugh at this because very rarely do the left and right brain work together like they do in me. I know, I'm so special. ;) I have this year and one more year of college left (woohoo) and afterwards I hope to be an English teacher at the high school level. Well... really I'd love to be a full time Stampin' Up! demonstrator but there's no degree in crafting. Because if there was, I would be majoring in that, haha.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you wonderful people know that I'll be attending school full time, and while I'll try my hardest to blog regularly, it may not happen. But I love you all and I promise you're still important to me. :)

By now you're all probably tired of hearing about me so let's see a project. This card is a CASE of a project we did at convention. I needed a card for Saturday Stampin' and I loved the project Stampin' Up! designed so I took that idea and changed it a little. Here's my card:

Stamp Sets: Hello Lovely, Gorgeous Grunge
Card Stock: Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Summer Starfruit
Ink: Calypso Coral, Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Night of Navy, Garden Green
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, This and That Designer Washi Tape

I know what you're thinking, "Wow, That's a lot of different ink colors." However, I think that they all work together to create a colorful and fun card. The washi tape was a last minute addition but it was so easy to put on and I think it added to the carefree grunge look of the card.

Anyway, if you want to purchase any of the supplies used to make this card, you can either let me know or you shop 24/7 in my online store HERE. Thanks for reading and I promise I'll try and get some blog posts up for you all. :)

Crazy for Cupcakes!

Hi everyone! It's time to share a new card with you. I made this card for my Inking Everything organized swap. I don't know about you, but I've definitely fallen head over heels for the cupcake trend that's happening these days. I just feel like I want to put cupcakes on all of my craft projects... and eat all the cupcakes I see on Pinterest ;) Dangerous, huh? So I guess I should apologize in advance if this card sparks your cupcake addiction. Let's take a look:

Stamp Sets: Create a Cupcake, Remembering Your Birthday
Card Stock: Primrose Petals, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Ink: Rose Red, Strawberry Slush, Blushing  Bride
Accessories: Cupcake Builder punch, Dazzling Details

It's really unfortunate that you can't see the Dazzling Details very well in the picture. I put the DD on the sprinkles around the words and on the top cupcake. It gives those sprinkles a little shiny and sparkly dimension. It's SO cute, just take my word for it. ;)

If you'd like to purchase any of the supplies used to make this card, you can contact me or you can shop 24/7 in my online store, HERE. Thanks for stopping by!

Holiday Single Stamps

Woot! I know a lot of you are probably already thinking about Christmas cards for this year. Being the crazy people we are, we hand make a bajillion Christmas cards and gift tags and send them out to make people happy during the holidays. Some people don't need an entire stamp set for these cards or for their gift tags. Luckily, Stampin' Up! has solved that problem.

A new, holiday-themed collection of single stamps is now available! The holidays will be here before you know it, and these holiday-themed single stamps may be just what you, the budget-conscious stamper, need. There are eight different stamps to choose from, six of which coordinate with Framelits dies or punches. Let's see the stamps!

To get more detail on this stamp set, check out THIS new flyer. I hope you like them. I really think you will though. If you want to purchase any of these single stamps or any other Stampin' Up! stuff; you can contact me directly or you can shop 24/7 in my online store, HERE. Thanks for checking in! Hello there. I have a new stamp set I'd like to tell you about today, it's another Photopolymer Stamp set! Yay! Really quickly, let's go through why the photopolymer stamp sets are so awesome:
