Happy Thanksgiving Notecard

Hi everyone!

I don't know what the weather's like where you live but here we're getting tons of snow! 8 inches in the last 24 hours. It's crazy! Anyway, this means I'm bundled up inside stamping and crafting.

Today I want to share a card with you that's for Thanksgiving (even though it feels like Christmas with all the snow). When I started to create this card I knew I only wanted to do a card front. Strange, I know. I was envisioning something I could give to someone, like a notecard, that they could then prop up somewhere or pin somewhere. That's why I wanted just a card front. I'm actually really happy with how it turned out!

Here's the front:

Stamp Sets: Tags 4 You, Gratitude for Days
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Color Me Autumn DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze
Accessories: Burlap Ribbon, Early Espresso Baker's Twine

And here's the back:

Cute, right?! I'm actually kind of impressed that the idea in my head went onto paper so well, haha! The bow on the card makes the card look small but I promise it's just a large bow on a normal 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 card.

I hope the weather is better where you live! Thanks for reading!

Holiday Home

Hi there everyone!

First off, thanks so much for all of your kind and uplifting comments from the blog hop. It truly was a wonderful experience.

Today I want to share with you 2 cards that are similar but intended for very different holidays. I used the Holiday Home stamp set and the Holiday Invitation stamp set on both cards. Hopefully this will help you see how 2 stamp sets not intended for each other can blend beautifully!

The first card is meant for Thanksgiving, or really any time in November. I love that about Fall; people are always so thankful for everything. It's such a beautiful time of the year.

Stamp Sets: Holiday Home, Holiday Invitation
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Early Espresso Candy Dots, Holiday Home Framelits

Nice, right? The next card is meant for Halloween. Who doesn't love candy and dressing up? I know I do. This cards is unique in that all the stamping and coloring of the houses was done on vellum.

Stamp Sets: Holiday Home, Holiday Invitation
Card Stock: Basic Black, Vellum
Ink: StazOn Black Ink, Basic Black, Basic Gray
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Basic Black Candy Dots

Well that's all I have for you today! I hope you found some sort of inspiration (even if it's in the background of my photos, haha). Have a wonderful day!

Inking Everything's Happy Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to our team's very first blog hop, I'm glad you are here! You may have just landed here or you may have come from Ti over at aBlessedChaos. Either way, you're here! Yay! I'd like to thank Mandy for organizing this hop for us; it's going to be so much fun.

So you're probably wondering what's different about our blog hop? We're showing cool creative ideas on our  blog and a coordinating project on our Facebook Business pages. So be sure to hop through both the blog and the Facebook page so you don't miss a thing!

Okay so this go around is all about Fall! Which is awesome because Fall is my favorite time of year; there are beautiful colors everywhere and I love the crisp cool weather. Also, it's Thanksgiving time and I love being around family and having everyone slow down and be thankful. It's just a wonderful time of year. For my blog fall project I decided to make a little set of 3x3 cards. I love 3x3 cards to add to gifts (usually wine) that I take to other people's houses.

Here's the entire set. I went with some basic fall colors: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry. I kept the color scheme basic and only used these 3 colors for the entire set. I think they turned out so cute!
Stamp Sets: For All Things
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry
Accessories: NA

What do you think? Although I'll probably use them individually as little cards for gifts, you could easily package them up together and give them as a little set for someone else to use.

Alright that's it for my blog post, you're headed HERE next, to my Facebook Business page. I hope you'll come around again. Thanks so much!

A Gift for Baby

Hi there!

I just wanted to share a quick card with you today. I made this card for UFC 2013 (a gathering of fantastic friends in Montana). Usually people make baby cards with soft subtle colors: pastels, watercolors, etc. I like this card because it's two colors that really POP. They're both bright colors and I like how they look together. I added a little pearl to the elephant's eye because I think it adds some dimension, however, I tried adding a pearl on the giraffe's eye as well-let's just say it was creepy looking and I'd recommend not doing that haha.

Here's my card:

Stamp Sets: Zoo Babies
Ink: Melon Mambo, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Basic Black
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, In-Color DSP, Whisper White
Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Pearl Basic Jewels

I'm in love with this card, it's so bright and cheery. I think it's perfect for a unique baby/baby shower card, I guarantee no one else will show up with a card like this. ;)

No time for crafting?

Remember how I told you I've been really busy with school lately? Well naturally that means less time for crafting. And less time for crafting equals a sad crafter. However, I've found a fantastic solution to this problem... My Digital Studio! MDS is Stampin' Up's digital designing software. Digital designing is one of the hottest crafting trends! And while mixing traditional stamping with digital designing may not seem intuitive at first, you may be surprised how easy it is to use and fit into your schedule. It is easy enough for the beginners, but also robust enough for experienced digital designers.  It includes tons of designing options as well as the high-quality artwork that Stampin' Up! is known for.

I'll tell you what, if you don't believe me, start with the FREE 30-day MDS Trial. Get your feet wet! Test it out and see for yourself how much fun digital designing can be. I'm sure after poking around and making a few creations, you'll be hooked: Just like me!

Here, let me show you a card I made on MDS. I'm not even exaggerating when I say it took me 10 minutes to design and finish. I love it.

What do you think? Pretty cute if I do say so myself. ;) This is a really simple design, you can make your creation as complex as you'd like. Want to see more? How about a scrapbook page I created that literally took me 15 minutes.

Cool, huh? Notice the twine up at the top matches the twine bow on the tag? I feel so coordinated,  thanks Stampin' Up! ;) Oh by the way, that's my lovely mama in the pictures with me. Hi Mom! I choose the "I like you" stamp because I obviously love my mom but we really like each other too. I'm so thankful that I have a mom that I can call my best friend as well (stop crying, Mom) ;)

Ooo! Did you notice the awesome paper I used on both my card and my scrapbook page? Or how about the twine and the stamp sets? I'll tell you a secret; everything I used in this blog post is from Sale-A-Bration! One of the options for your free stuff with a $50 purchase is ALL of the SAB items in digital form. How cool is that? Then you don't have to choose, you can get it all!

For more information of Sale-A-Bration, you can read THIS blog post.
